97% of Early Apple Watch Owners are Satisfied

Apple Watch Satisfaction - Techpinions

Given the current customer satisfaction of the iPhone is at 99%, the first version of the Apple Watch ranks closer to the current generation iPhone than the first generation iPhone or iPad in terms of satisfaction.

These are very impressive "customer sat" (channeling my inner Tim Cook) numbers, but it should be noted that 66% of Apple Watch owners said they were "very satisfied" with their watch. That is a number that I think will rise significantly come September when the apps situation gets much better.

This bit stuck out to me as well:

As I listened to 14 different people tell me about their Apple Watch, I observed a pattern. Those whose job it was to think about the Apple Watch or who were early adopters who thought deeply about tech and the tech products they buy, were all much more critical of the watch.

This falls in line with what I have experienced as well. The simple things like asking Siri questions, to making calls, to recording my heart rate all impress "normal" people when I demo them. They're not thinking about the broader implications of the wearable market, they just see a new product that does things in a way they never have before.
